Orchid Cemetery Project

I found these sorry looking Phalaenopsis orchids in the discount section at ikea for $1. I thought that I would put a little time and effort into them to see if I could bring them back from the very claws of death.

I cut the stalk to encourage a new flower stalk, soaked them with a little plant food, sprayed the leaves with filter water and then moved them out of the direct sunlight (They were in the direct sunlight - see pic - but according to Ma, this is not a good idea as the leaves might burn. They are used to being in the forest after all).
